About the Author

Chris Andrews has been involved with all types of boating for more than 50 years, holds a Coastal Skippers ticket and International Certificate of Competence. He is currently a member of Rochester Cruising Club, East Farleigh Cruising Club, Royal Naval Sailing Association and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. His participation in club activities have involved serving on committee in a number of positions including Commodore. Over the years he has cruised the coast and rivers of England plus Holland, Belgium and France from Freisland to the Med.

He has also written two other books, an autobiography, 'The Life and Times of a Dockyard Matey' and the Centenary edition 'The Sun Sets on One Hundred Years,' a history of the Rochester Cruising Club.
